Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds the Honorary Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely praised for launching the modern science of eyewitness memory in children and using child victims to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with numerous papers and grants to her name and is the recipient of numerous international and national prizes. She has advised many authorities and government agencies around the world about policies as well as research related to child victims in the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
